The Start of Shinozaki Automotive
The dream of Eugene & Fujie Shinozaki (Ed's parents), Shinozaki Automotive began in May 1974. Eugene and Don (yes, he was the first technician hired!) worked from early morning until late at night 6 days a week (often until 1 or 2 am) to keep up with servicing all our customers' vehicles. Fujie also worked long hours in the office while raising 3 kids.

Carrying On
Less than 5 years later, Eugene suddenly passed away at the young age of 47. With the help of Don and our supportive technicians, Fujie kept Eugene's dream alive and the business going for Ed. Like his dad, he has always loved cars, displayed a natural talent to fix anything mechanical, and is well-liked by all who meet him.
Ed and Jeff worked at the shop after school and during summer vacations.

Ed Joins Full-Time
After graduating from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology (and an unoffical minor in skiing and mountain biking!), Ed joined Shinozaki Automotive full-time.

Growing Family
The family business expanded when Ed and Cheryl married in 1995, and Cheryl joined Fujie in the office.
Sage, pictured here at 3 months old, has grown up to be our 3rd generation technician.

Passing the Baton
After over 38 years of overseeing the business, Fujie departed this physical world in 2013, and the baton was officially passed to Ed.
Cheryl, having worked side by side in the office with Fujie for 18 of those years, continues to run the business with Ed.
